Research
The pages that follow are pages that we did before planning our OTS, to research key features within other, real opening title sequences that should be incorporated into our OTS. Included in our research were multiple 'Horror theorists', like Carol Clover and Wheeler Winston Dixon, who theorised important ideas about the nature of horror, and gave us a key idea of which horror conventions to follow and which conventions to break to give our OTS a different edge.
We also included research into how production companies and distributions companies work, and what the logos of each often look like, so that we could make our logos look real when we create our own. We also looked into sub genres, to decide which sub genre we should make our OTS, based on whatever sub genre is the most popular in the current times, and which sub genre we could work around and create an enjoyable story around.
We also analysed real opening title sequences, to gather ideas and review how the titles fit in to the things
